week1

Before the beginning of week 0, I engaged with the course materials through “getting started” and I found significant information which seemed to be unfamiliar to me and it made me wondering like a fish in the ocean. I had a chat with other students who did this course last semester then I thought that they were lucky because it was on campus not online. Thanks goodness that I was able to get a lot of support and advice that help me to overcome my fear and go ahead in creating my blog during week 0. I decide to research a variety of blogs from previous students to investigate how they built their blogs, one of the blog is https://d1013704.wordpress.com/ and https://tturner96.wordpress.com/. Moreover, I read as well numerous introductions that are already posted on the forum.

Reflection 1: Setting up my blog

Setting up a blog for EDC3100 ICT and Pedagogy is one of things that make me feel nervous because I never use or create a blog before. I have spent a lot of time during week 0 learning how to create a basic blog. I find a lot of information that I need to make sure that I revisit in order to gain more understanding about the use of Diigo and Feedly. In other hand, I thought previous students who did this course on campus were lucky because it was not online. as an active learner, I believe to construct my knowledge which will enable me to understand the content of EDC 3100 this semester.

Reflection 2: the quiz:

The first attempt I scored 5 out of 10 and it was the first ICT quiz I did, my major mistakes were that I misidentified objects. after that, I went on the forum and explore some blogs then I realised that I am not the only one. During week 1, I said to myself I need to repeat the quiz to ensure I am making an improvement from the previous quiz and to effectively distinguish an ICT object from other objects. The second attempt, I was able to score 10 out of 10. These ICT tools are very important in today society as they empower all citizens to share information in their daily life.
